Draft Code for Radiation Protection in Dental Exposure

ARPANSA develops Australian-specific standards, codes and guides. We may consult with members of the public by inviting submissions to new or existing documents.
We are updating the Code of Practice and Safety Guide for Radiation Protection in Dentistry (2005).
The new document will be called the Code of Practice for Radiation Protection in Dentistry.

Purpose
The code establishes the Australian requirements for the protection of people that receive dental radiation exposure.

Comments are requested in relation to:
- Relevance and usefulness: Are the stated objectives appropriate and are they met by the draft text?
- Scope and completeness: Is the scope appropriate and is it adequately covered by the draft text?
- Quality and clarity: Do the requirements in the draft text represent the current consensus among specialists in the field and are these requirements expressed clearly and coherently?
